UPD Interior Design Student Wins 2nd Prize at Projeto Ideas and Design Competition

Dens Joshua S. Franco, a senior Interior Design student at UP Diliman, secured 2nd place in the Projeto Ideas and Design Competition: Interior Design Category at WORLDBEX 2025. Among 60 entries nationwide, Franco placed 3rd overall among the Top 6 finalists.

The competition challenged participants to design a sustainable and inclusive learning environment for Special Education students in public schools. Franco’s concept, The Sandbox, reimagines classrooms as adaptive and sensory-friendly spaces that support neurodivergent students through modular, interactive, and structured flexible design.

The Department of Clothing, Textiles, and Interior Design (CTID) celebrates this achievement. Congratulations, Dens! 🎉
